The War between Anti-Islamic State, Anti-Racism Activist Continues Today

Protests continue as the war between the Anti-Islamic State and anti-racism activists contend with one another, due to a misunderstanding of mutual agreement; both parties decide to take a stand for their own beliefs and representation without acknowledging their rivals perspectives.  A violent scuffle broke out on the steps of Richmond Town Hall in Melbourne in 2015, between the Anti-Islamic State group and the United Patriots Front, both claiming to have the right to fight for their laws and beliefs, even if it meant with the use of violence. The United Patriots Front had taken an opposition to the Sharia Law, which is the heart of the Muslim faith, claiming their rally was a protection for Australia, reclaiming the country from communism. The Muslims saw this opposition as an offence, and therefore gathered people from all around, protesting that they had the right to express their beliefs in the world without the fear of persecution. The United Patriots Front decided to create a campaign, protesting and fighting for what they stand for, which is to oppose immigration, multiculturalism, and Islam. The conflict, which had been protested on the streets of Melbourne between Islamic State and the United Patriots since 2015, has not yet been solved, as both parties decided to express their views and perspectives in the form of violence, walking the streets with a loud shout of praise for their organisation, attacking their opponent with the art of cursing, not realizing the truth behind the beauty of compromise.  It was not long after that the Campaign against Racism and Fascism decided to be involved, walking along the streets of Melbourne chanting, “Muslims are welcome, racists are not.”

Due to the conflict of dispute between these given parties, the resolution to solve humanities problem has not yet been reached. The United Patriots Front claims they have the answers to solve humanities problem by the pursuit of removing extremist believers. They claim that extremist’s believers, such as Muslims, have come into their nation with the intention to change their way of life. The Muslim immigrants, however, claim that their faith is of their own, accepting those who believe in their lifestyle, living accordingly to the standards of the Sharia Law, and not opposing or rejecting those who are against it by compelling them with the force of violence. The Campaign against Racism and Fascism believe that the Muslims are welcome in their nation, as they do not view them as a threat. They consider the United Patriots Front as being racists, as their campaign opposes immigration, multiculturalism and Islam, claiming that unification comes from acceptance and not negligence.

This current dispute is a result of both parties failing to resolve the conflict in a harmonized way. They believe that actions speak louder than words, which is why they have resorted to violence. Reaching a resolution has been unsuccessful in the past, and still to date, the issues have not yet been compromised. This problem persists because both parties have their own perspectives on the given situations, and will not allow the opinion or beliefs of another party to have an influence on their way of life. The United Patriots Front believes that the Muslim immigrants have corrupted their lifestyle by majorly influencing their nation, forcing individuals to live their way. They do not accept individuals who do not come from their background, or choose to live the Australian way of life. Their campaign organises to reclaim Australia by rejecting or casting those who they claim do not belong. The Campaign against Racism and Fascism, however, claim that this statement is racist.

Due to the context of interest between all parties, this matter can be resolved in a harmonized way by the acceptance of all people, regardless of religion, nationality or beliefs. Issues and confrontation due to a lack of understanding should be resolved in a peaceful yet organised matter, not violence. By listening to ones perspective with a clear understanding, matters of conflict and war can be resolved in a loving and peaceful way of union. Unification comes from acceptance and not negligence, separation is the main cause behind all conflict and contention. By using the art of violence, disputes can never be solved, as one party will view themselves as greater than the other. By forming groups to attend a riot, there is no chance for success, as the voice of a party’s main cause will never be heard by the opposition. By choosing to resolve issues in the matter of violence, there is no success for a cause, as words spoken will not be heard, due to pride and self-greed. By reaching a mutual agreement and understanding, both parties involved will achieve victory, as the resolution of their war has been resolved by the use of words. Rather than protesting on the streets with loud shouts of praise for a cause, why not have a meeting conducted in a safe secure environment, explaining ones reason of cause to the other, listening to each other’s views so that one may have a clear understanding of reasoning. By coming to the acceptance of people, regardless of religion, race, or beliefs, all conflict can be resolved in a harmonized matter with a peaceful solution, as acceptance plays a role in unification. By hearing different perspectives, disregarding how different they are relating to one’s own, a conflict of interest can be resolved in the most humble matter by using what is good from all perspectives, harmonizing them into one thought. Love does not come from the fact that a person believes in something, or that they come from a certain background, love simply comes from the fact that everyone is a human being and should be loved because they are a human being.  During times of contention, all parties involved in a dispute should resolve their issues in a loving approach resulting in peace. Separation leads to one party having victory over the other. Unification leads to both parties achieving victory, as both parties have come to a mutual agreement and understanding, achieving victory by love and peace. This is one world, separated into many nations. Just because the nations are separated, does not mean that we all live in different homes, thus having reasons to contend with one another because we believe we live in different worlds. The view of separation causes division, and division causes conflict, and conflict causes war. There will never be peace in this world if humans are to view each other as different just because of their religion, beliefs, or background. Rather, the view of unification causes love, and love causes unity, and unity causes peace. The world will be in the state of peace, feeling a sense of relief, if everyone was to put aside their differences and unite in harmony, regardless of religion, culture, or belief. Violence in protesting will never solve any conflicts; speaking in harmony with acceptance will solve conflict.
