Modern problems require modern solutions. Global Enterprise Experience provides a unique experience to university students to create a business proposal for a profitable company that solves a global solution. Teams of 8 work from all across the global facing challenges with communication, access and resources. Teaching entrepreneurship programmes like these are important for personal and professional development to teach people about cross-cultural communication, various socio-cultural and political practices between countries and providing a platform for young people. Universities need to increasingly focus on preparing students for the world around them and teach real-world applicable skills in order to create a more well-rounded student who has the ability to make a positive difference in the world. This experience, unlike others, does not produce boundaries with acceptance into the program as it accepts everyone from any background, any university in any country and any degree. Because the program uses flexibility, we are able to see more tangible results in the ideas that students create in order to make the world a better place and to provide a platform for global success. The program has been running for 16 years and is steadily growing. Young minds are shaped with social entrepreneurship programmes like this which results in extraordinary ideas like blockchain for secure elections in South Africa, water purification through fermentation in Nepal and slow-moving water turbines for Rwanda which provides innovative and unique solutions to global problems specifically with a focus in improving developing nations and their access on the world stage.
